I am ready to begin my journey for a healthy lifestyle. I want to be fit, healthy, energetic, organized and in control. I am trying to focus more on how I will feel physically and mentally rather than how I will look on the outside.
Here is what my healthy new lifestyle will entail:
1. A healthy diet
I am not going to starve myself. I am going to eat small, healthy meals at least 4-6 times a day. I have always been a water drinker, but I am going to make it a point to drink at least 8 glasses per day. I will allow myself occasional indulgences. My goal is to only have one cheat meal a week.
I plan to walk as much as possible, at least one hour per day, five days a week. I also plan to work out with weights three times a week.
My goal is to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. I am planning to go to sleep between 10:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. and wake up around 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. I will still wake up fairly early on the weekends, but I don't think I am going to set an alarm for Saturdays and Sundays.
4. Home Maintenance
I am getting tired of letting the messes accumulate in my home, so my plan is to spend about 30 minutes every morning (also before the kids wake up) on cleaning the house. Every morning will likely be dishes, a quick decluttering and one additional task such as cleaning a bathroom, dusting, etc.
My goal is to spend an hour a day on my blog. I think I can spend at least an hour on it after my son is in bed.
